China and Japan

In China the Chinese legends tell a tale of a war between two dragons (good and evil) and that the lights were from their fiery breath. Many other dragon legends in Chinese culture were also have said to come from the Northern Lights.

In Japan the legend states that if a child is conceived on a night where the Northern Lights could be viewed, then that child would be blessed with intelligence, looks and good fortune. (The Aurora Zone, 2015)
